This manual will help you configure your Fanvil phone for use with Freedom, our cloud-hosted PBX.Ā The settings below refer specifically to the Fanvil X3S and X3P.

Configuration manual
  • ConnectĀ the Fanvil device to the network (modem/router/switch/network point) using an Ethernet cable (ensure that your PC is connected to the same network as the Fanvil device)

Locate IP Address

  • PressingĀ the "OK" button
  • Or alternatively,Ā pressingĀ the soft key menu buttonĀ "i"

  • Press Menu
  • StatusĀ or
  • TheĀ "Down"Ā navigation key.

Configuration
  • LaunchĀ the web browser and type the IP address into the URL bar
  • LoginĀ to the device's web interface
  • Fill inĀ the following details:Ā Username: AdminĀ Password: Admin
  • Ā Go toĀ LineĀ 
  • Tick ā€˜Activeā€™ if you have an option
  • Line 1Ā >>Ā Basic SettingsĀ and fill in the details below

You will need

  • Username: Account ID (Can be found onĀ FreedomĀ underĀ AdminĀ >> Voip Account ( (e.g) 202290089)
  • Display name: Extension number e.g 201
  • Authentication Name: Account ID ((e.g)202290089)
  • Password: Can be found onĀ FreedomĀ underĀ AdminĀ >> VoIP Account ( (e.g) WJ362Dy5uYPtUTH)
  • Server Name:Ā sip.voys.co.za

Troubleshooting:

If your phone is staying on "initializing" then the phone is fried. It could be due to the surges from load-shedding. If under warranty, take it back to your supplier to replace it.
