This manual will help you configure your Fanvil phone for use with Freedom, our cloud-hosted PBX.Ā The settings below refer specifically to the Fanvil X3S and X3P.
Configuration manual
- ConnectĀ the Fanvil device to the network (modem/router/switch/network point) using an Ethernet cable (ensure that your PC is connected to the same network as the Fanvil device)

Configuration
- LaunchĀ the web browser and type the IP address into the URL bar
- LoginĀ to the device's web interface
- Fill inĀ the following details:Ā Username: AdminĀ Password: Admin
- Ā Go toĀ LineĀ
- Tick āActiveā if you have an option
- Line 1Ā >>Ā Basic SettingsĀ and fill in the details below
You will need
- Username: Account ID (Can be found onĀ FreedomĀ underĀ AdminĀ >> Voip Account ( (e.g) 202290089)
- Display name: Extension number e.g 201
- Authentication Name: Account ID ((e.g)202290089)
- Password: Can be found onĀ FreedomĀ underĀ AdminĀ >> VoIP Account ( (e.g) WJ362Dy5uYPtUTH)
- Server Name:Ā sip.voys.co.za
Go toĀ LineĀ >>Ā SIPĀ >>Ā Codec SettingsĀ and Enable G.711A
Go toĀ LineĀ >>Ā SIPĀ >>Ā Advanced Settings
Go toĀ LineĀ >>Ā SIPĀ >>Ā SIP Global Settings
Once theĀ Line StatusĀ changes to āRegisteredā, youāre set.
Troubleshooting:
If your phone is staying on "initializing" then the phone is fried. It could be due to the surges from load-shedding. If under warranty, take it back to your supplier to replace it.
