Connect the phone via Wi-Fi
- Plug in the power supply unit or connect the LAN cable if you Internet router is POE-enabled
- Click Menu
- Settings
- Basic Settings
- Go to WIFI - Turn it “on” if “off”
- SCAN for available networks
- Choose your network name (WIFI name)
- Insert the Password
- Click Connect Find The IP Address:
- Press the ‘OK’ button to establish the current IP Address.
- Copy the shown IP address in your web browser on your PC.
- Press Enter
- Fill in: Username: admin Password: admin
- Click Enter
Configuring VoIP account
- Select the Account tab
Copy the settings that look like the screen shot below. The values for the fields in brackets ([ ]) correspond with the VoIP account details for the corresponding extension.
You can find the details on Freedom under
- Admin
- VoIP Account
You will need:
- Label: Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
- Display Name: Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
- Register Name: Account ID of the VoIP account
(is visible in Freedom under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g 20112345796 (see below)
- User name: Account ID e.g 20112345796 (see below)
- Password: Password of the VoIP-account
(is visible in Freedom under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g CfFHpxAuhNdnsYp (see below)
- Sip Server 1 : sip.voys.co.za
Enter on the phone as shown below:
- Click ‘Confirm’
- Register status should now say ‘Registering’ and then ‘Registered’
- Go to the tab 'Settings'
- Click 'SIP'
Make sure you give each extension in the network a unique Local SIP Port. For instance, 5071 for extension 201, 5072 for extension 202 etc.
Ensure that the Local SIP Port and TLS SIP Port are not the same. For example, if the Local SIP Port is 5061, change the TLS SIP Port to 5060.
- Click ‘Confirm’
Change the Time on the phone
- Click Settings
- Click Time and Date
- Choose +2GMT on the Time zone
Your phone is now ready for use!
Troubleshooting:
If your phone is staying on "initializing" then the phone is fried. It could be due to the surges from load-shedding. If it is under warranty, take it back to your supplier to replace it.
