A Yealink handset wirelessly connects to a base station to make calls. If this connection is not available anymore, you will see 'Searching for base' on the handset's display.
Possible solutions for the problem 'Searching for base' are:
- Check if the handset is within range of the base station. If the handset is out of range, move it closer to the base station. The range of a Yealink base station is approximately 50 meters in an indoor situation.
At the base station: Press and hold the button that looks like a 'Wifi' symbol for about 3 seconds. If the top light on the base station starts blinking, this means, that the pairing was successful. The base station is now in pairing mode. You can now pair a handset with the base.
On the handset:
- Press the 'OK' button on the handset or go to the ‘Menu’
