This manual will help you configure your Genius 100IP Corded IP phone for use with Freedom, our cloud-hosted PBX. The screenshots are from the Genius 100IP model.
Finding the IP Address of the Device
- Get IP address
- Menu
- Status
Configuring the phone
- Plug in the power supply unit.
- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the modem/router/network point and the other to the ‘internet’ port on the back of the phone.
- Wait for the phone to boot up.
- Copy the shown IP address in your web browser on your PC.
- Press Enter
- Fill in: Username: admin Password: admin
- Click Enter
Configuring VoIP account (extension)
- Select the Account tab
Copy the settings that look like the screenshot below. The values for the fields in brackets ([ ]) correspond with the VoIP account details for the corresponding extension.
📌 Note: You can find the corresponding ‘Extension number’, ‘VoIP account ID’ and ‘Password’ in Freedom >> Admin >> VoIP Account

You will need:
- Label:Â Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
- Display Name: Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
- Username:Â Account IDÂ of the VoIP-account
(is visible in Freedom under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g 20112345796 (see below)
- Password:Â Password of the VoIP-account
(is visible in Freedom under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g CfFHpxAuhNdnsY (see below)
- Sip Server : sip.voys.co.za
Enter on the phone as shown below:
- Go into the Basic on the phone
- SIP Account
