Huawei and Google
If you're experiencing issues with the Voys app on a Huawei smartphone, this may be due to restrictions related to Google's mobile services. Since 2019, Huawei devices no longer include Google Mobile Services (GMS) due to trade restrictions between the United States and China. As a result, many newer Huawei phones (such as those from the P40, Mate 40, and later series) do not support apps that rely on Google services.
The Voys app uses Google’s push notification service to deliver calls and messages reliably. Unfortunately, this service is not available on all Huawei devices, which can lead to missed calls or delayed notifications.
Getting the best Voys experience (Without Huawei)
Unfortunately, this is not something Voys can resolve on our end, as our app is built on core Google services that are essential for features like call notifications. Without access to these services, we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of the app on Huawei devices.
For this reason, we strongly advise against using a Huawei smartphone if you rely on the Voys app for your business communications. Instead, we recommend one of the following alternatives for a stable and reliable experience:
- Use the Voys Webphone — accessible through your browser, no installation needed.
- Use a desk phone — ideal for consistent call quality and reliability.
- Use a smartphone from another brand — one that supports Google Mobile Services.
