How to set up a Snom phone

Retrieve IP address

  • Press the Help button on the device.

Setting up your Snom device

Go to Login
  • For Displayname, enter the internal number of your VoIP account.
    • Go to freedom.voys.co.za.
    • Click on Admin.
    • Then click on VoIP-account.
    • Behind the VoIP account, you will see the account ID. Hover over it to copy it.

  • Fill in your VoIP account ID under Account (if applicable, also under Authentication Username).
  • For Password, enter the password for your VoIP account.

  • Fill in Registrar as sip.voys.co.za..
  • Then click on Apply.

Go to SIP
  • Turn on DTMF via SIP INFO.

Go to NAT
  • Fill in "15" for the Keepalive interval (seconds).

Go to RTP settings
  • Go to the RTP tab.

Test VoIP account
  • Click on System Information in the menu.
