Zoiper App

Zoiper is a free softphone that our customers have had good experiences with. Zoiper is available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Follow the steps below to install and configure Zoiper. The instructions below are based on an Android device, it may look different for iPhone, Windows or Mac.

  • Download the Zoiper app in Google Play for Android or the App Store for Apple. For Windows and Mac, you can download Zoiper here.
  • Open Zoiper.

Now enter the following information:

  • In the "User name" field, enter the Account ID of your VoIP account. Go to freedom.voys.co.za, click on "Admin" and then on "VoIP account". You will see the Account ID next to each account.
  • In the "Password" field, enter the password of your VoIP account. Click on "Admin" in freedom.voys.co.za, then on "VoIP account". On the right-hand side of the screen, change the filter "Show passwords" to "yes" and click on "Apply". An additional column will now appear in your screen with the password of your VoIP account.
  • You will be prompted for a hostname, use sip.voys.co.za
  • Note! Do not use a VoIP account that is already linked to a telephone, web phone or app. Use an account that is not currently in use or add a new one.
  • Press "Create an account".
  • Then click on "Next".
  • Click on "Skip" for "Account setup".
  • Select "SIP UDP" and click "Finish".

You will now be asked if you want to ignore battery optimizations. By clicking "Yes", your account will remain logged in to our platform. This is especially important for incoming telephony.
