Setting up VoIP account
On this page, you will find the settings for Grandstream devices. This configuration is based on Grandstream GXP2120 and GPX2140. Depending on the type of Grandstream and software version, it may look slightly different from the images below. For setting it up, it is important to copy the data exactly as shown in this example.
How to set up a Grandstream
- On the display of your Grandstream, you will find an IP address.
- Enter the IP address in your browser.
- Login with 'admin' and password 'admin'.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Preferences.
- Click on Date and Time.
- Fill in NTP server ntp.voys.nl.
- Specify the correct Time Zone and that you want a 24-hour display.
- Optionally, indicate whether you also want the date to be visible.
Setting up VoIP account
- Go to Accounts.
- Choose Account 1.
- Choose General settings.
- Open a second browser and go to freedom.voys.co.za
- Go to "Admin".
- Go to "Voip-Accounts".
- Go to the Voip-Account that you want to configure to your device.
- Go back to the Grandstream page.
- In the Account Name field, enter the Voip-account number.
- In the SIP-server and Second SIP server fields, enter sip.voys.co.za.
- In the SIP User ID and Authentication ID fields, enter the Account ID.
- In the Authentication Password field, enter the password of the VoIP-Account.
- In the Name field, you can give your device a name. Examples include: your own name, Reception or the internal number of the device (e.g. 201).
- Press Save and Apply.
- The red VoIP-Account dot should now be green.
Basic Settings
- Go to Network Settings.
- For DNS mode, set it to SRV.
- For NAT Traversal, select Keep-Alive.
- Click on Save and Apply.
SIP Settings
Go to Basic Settings under SIP Settings.
- Set SIP transport to "TLS/TCP".
- Check if SIP URI schema when using TLS is set to "sip".
- Set keep alive interval to 15.
- It is also useful to adjust the local SIP port.
- Click on Save and Apply.
