There are multiple ways to set up an address book on a Yealink.
Contact List
The first option is to create a contact list on the device itself. You can do this as follows:
- Press OK to enter the main menu.
- Go to Directory/List.
- Press Options.
- Select New Contact.
- Fill in the details.
- Press Save.
Yealink DECT External Phonebook
Another option is to load an external phonebook on your Yealink base station. Create a .CSV or .XML file with the phone numbers. You can download a File Template for both file types from the base station.
How to Find the Device IP Address
- Press the OK button three times.
- Enter the device IP address in a web browser (on a computer in the same network). Log in with the username admin and password admin or username voys and password freedom.
- Go to the Directory tab.
- Click on Local Directory.

Here you can add a .csv or .xml file for all handsets.
Import Contacts
Here you can add a .CSV or .XML file for each handset. You can switch by handset in import to.
You will be asked if you want to delete the old contacts. If you choose on, those contacts will be deleted.

If you want to extract contact lists from your handset, you can do it here.

How to Find the Device IP Address
- Press the OK button or
- Go to the menu of the device.
- Select Status.
- On a computer in the same network as the device, go to the IP address of the device in a web browser.
- Log in with the username admin and password admin or username voys and password freedom.
- Go to the Directory tab.
- Click on Local Directory.
- Select the correct .CSV or .XML file.
- Click on Import for the type of file you want to upload (.xml or .cvs).
- Click on Export if you want to download a file from your device.
Note! Do you want to import your Excel file to your server? You will need an IT specialist who has knowledge of your server and how everything is set up.
