We are moving!
Moving your company involves many considerations, including telephony. It's useful to investigate the network infrastructure at your new location in advance. Additionally, it's crucial to ensure that your address is correct on your invoices. Please contact us when you want this to be changed.
Network at the new location
- Ensure adequate bandwidth, paying special attention to the upload capacity of the connection. You can test this using a speed test. If your internet connection does not have sufficient capacity, consider requesting an additional internet line for VoIP phones.
- Always connect the phones directly to the modem/router of your internet connection. Adding an extra router to your network often causes issues.
- Allow us through your firewall. Strictly configured firewalls can lead to audio and connection issues. In this case, ensure that our IP range is whitelisted for VoIP phones. Simply opening ports is often not enough.
- Limit the bandwidth of cloud-based services such as Dropbox and WeTransfer. These services can overload your internet connection, leading to decreased voice quality.
- Avoid using wireless Wi-Fi bridges and powerline adapters to expand your network. These can degrade the quality of the voice signal. Always use CAT 5/6 network cables.
- Optionally, set up Quality of Service (QoS). If your router supports QoS features, you can use them. However, not all routers support these features equally well. When setting up QoS, always prioritize VoIP telephony or reserve bandwidth using the IP range of our platform.
- Choose your router carefully. The router must support standard VoIP protocols, such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). It should also support NAT (Network Address Translation) traversal to allow VoIP traffic to pass through the firewall smoothly.
- Office building with one NAT router. In a business complex, an internet connection is often shared among multiple companies. Always inquire with the network administrator about the available (and guaranteed) bandwidth and the options for VoIP services. Also, ask if there is only one NAT router in the network. Multiple routers can often cause issues.
It is best to allow the entire IP range of our platform through your firewall. You can do this by restricting IP traffic to and from the PBX based on the necessary IP addresses. Below are the IP ranges of our telephony platform.
The IP range you need to set is:
195.35.114.0/23
185.103.76.0/22
These are the following ranges:
195.35.114.0 to 195.35.114.255
195.35.115.0 to 195.35.115.255
185.103.76.0 to 185.103.79.255
Below is the IPv6 range, currently only used for webhooks: 2a06:2a80::/29
It is not advisable to specify ports for this, as each device uses its own ports. By default, VoIP devices use only UDP connections.
Need a new area code?
If you need a new area code after your move, you can add it yourself in the Portal. You can also add a national number.
- Go to Phone Number.
- Select Add.
- Choose the area code or the national number you want.
- Choose how many consecutive numbers you want to request under Number of Consecutive Numbers. If you choose more than one number, it will always be a series of consecutive numbers.
- Select the number (block) you want to add.
- Fill in the Description, for example: 'Main number'.
- Press Save.
