Configuration manual
- Plug inĀ the power supply unit.
- ConnectĀ one end of the Ethernet cable to the modem/router/network point and the other to the āinternetā port on the back of the phone.
- Wait for the phone to boot up. (top red light will stop flashing)
- PressĀ the āOKā button to establish the current IP Address.
- CopyĀ the shown IP address in your web browser on your PC.
- PressĀ Enter
- Fill in: Username:Ā adminĀ Password:Ā admin
- ClickĀ Enter
Configuring VoIP account
- SelectĀ theĀ AccountĀ tab
CopyĀ the settings that look like the screenshot below. The values for the fields in brackets ([ ]) correspond with the VoIP account details for the corresponding extension.
You can find the details onĀ FreedomĀ under
- Admin
- VoIP Account
You will need:
- Label:Ā Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
- Display Name:Ā Internal extension numberĀ (e.g. 201)
- Register Name:Ā Account IDĀ of the VoIP-account
(is visible inĀ FreedomĀ under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g 20112345796 (see below)
- User name: Account IDĀ e.g 20112345796 (see below)
- Password:Ā Password of the VoIP-account
(is visible inĀ FreedomĀ under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g CfFHpxAuhNdnsYp (see below)
- Sip Server 1 : sip.voys.co.za
Enter on the phone as shown below:
- ClickĀ āConfirmā
- Register status should now say āRegisteringā and then āRegisteredā
- Go toĀ the tab 'Settings'
- ClickĀ 'SIP'
Make sure you give each extension in the network a uniqueĀ Local SIP Port. For instance, 5071 for extension 201, 5072 for extension 202 etc.
Ensure that theĀ Local SIP PortĀ andĀ TLS SIP PortĀ are not the same. For example, if theĀ Local SIP PortĀ is 5061, change theĀ TLS SIP PortĀ to 5060.
- ClickĀ āConfirmā
Change the Time on the phone
- ClickĀ Settings
- ClickĀ Time and Date
- Choose +2GMT on the Time zone
Your phone is now ready for use!
Troubleshooting:
If your phone is staying on "initializing" then the phone is fried. It could be due to the surges from load-shedding. If it is under warranty, take it back to your supplier to replace it.
- Reset the VoIP account password on Freedom
- Change the transport type to be TCP
- Change the port from default 6050 near the server to 6060
