How to configure a Genius IP100 Corded IP phone

This manual will help you configure your Genius 100IP Corded IP phone for use with Freedom, our cloud-hosted PBX. The screenshots are from the Genius 100IP model.

** Finding the IP Address of the Device **

• Get IP address
• Menu
• Status

Configuring the phone

• Click Enter
• Fill in: Username: admin Password: admin
• Press Enter
• Copy the shown IP address in your web browser on your PC.
• Wait for the phone to boot up.
• Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the modem/router/network point and the other to the ‘internet’ port on the back of the phone.
• Plug in the power supply unit.

Configuring VoIP account (extension)

SIP Account

• Go into the Basic on the phone
• Enter on the phone as shown below: Sip Server : sip.voys.co.za (is visible in Freedom under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g CfFHpxAuhNdnsY (see below)
• Password: Password of the VoIP-account (is visible in Freedom under Admin >> VoIP Account) e.g 20112345796 (see below)
• Username: Account ID of the VoIP-account
• Display Name: Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
• Label: Internal extension number (e.g. 201)
• You will need:

Note: You can find the corresponding ‘Extension number’, ‘VoIP account ID’ and ‘Password’ in Freedom >> Admin >> **VoIP Account **

• Copy the settings that look like the screenshot below. The values for the fields in brackets ([ ]) correspond with the VoIP account details for the corresponding extension.
• Select the Account tab
