How to setup your Tiptel
This help page provides detailed setup instructions for Tiptel VoIP phones, covering the Tiptel 23xx and 284 series for seamless integration with our telephony platform.
Setup Tiptel 23xx
This example uses a Tiptel 32xx. The manual contains screenshots of the Tiptel 3240 (59.138.3.41). When configuring, it's important to copy the information exactly as shown in the example.
Finding your device's IP address
- Press the 'OK' button to find your phone's IP address
- Go to the phone's IP address in a web browser (using a computer on the same network as the phone)
- Log in with username admin and password admin.
- Click on Account.
- Click on Basic.
- Fill in your VoIP account ID for both Register name and User name.
- For this, go to freedom.voys.nl
- Click on Admin
- Then on VoIP-account
- You'll see the account ID next to the VoIP account. Hover over it to copy it.
- For 'Password', enter your VoIP account password.
- Hover over the password in the same VoIP account to copy it.
- Apply the settings from the screenshot below.
- Then click on Submit.
- Click on Advanced.
- Apply the settings from the screenshot below.
- Note: It's recommended to use a unique Local SIP Port for each device. The Local SIP Port depends on your VoIP account ID. For example, if your account ID is 123400007, you would enter 5067 here. Take the last digits of your VoIP account and add them to 5060. So you get 5060+007=5067. This makes each Local SIP Port unique and easier for your router.
- Click on submit.
The Register Status will now show registered. Your device is now connected to our platform and can be used.
Setup Tiptel 284
This example uses a Tiptel 284. When configuring, it's important to copy the information exactly as shown in this example.
Finding your device's IP address
- Press the 'OK' button to find your phone's IP address
- Go to the phone's IP address in a web browser (using a computer on the same network as the phone)
- Log in with username admin and password admin.
- Klik op Account.
- Klik op Basic.
- Vul bij Register name en User name het Account ID van je VoIP-account in.
- Ga hiervoor naar freedom.voys.nl.
- Klik op Beheer
- Dan op VoIP-account.
- Achter het VoIP-account zie je het account ID staan. Hover hier overheen om het te kopiëren.
- Bij ‘Password’ vul je het wachtwoord van je VoIP-account in.
- Hover over het wachtwoord bij datzelfde VoIP-account om het te kopiëren.
- Neem de instellingen uit onderstaand screenshot over.
- Klik daarna op Submit.
- Klik op Advanced.
- Stel de UDP Keep-alive Interval in op 15 seconden.
- zet RPort op enabled.
- Klik op submit.
- Klik op Codec.
- Zorg ervoor dat alleen PCMA (G711.a) als codec ingeschakeld staat.
- Klik op submit.
The Register Status will now show registered. Your device is now connected to our platform and can be used.
