A Yealink RT30 repeater extends the range of the Yealink W52P/W60 base station. If the repeater mode is enabled and the repeater is registered to the base station, you can use the handset within the range of both the base station and the repeater.
Enabling Repeater Mode
You can easily connect the Yealink repeater by following these steps.
- Press OK on your handset.
- Go to Settings.
- Then go to System.
- Finally, go to Repeater mode.
- Press Edit and then Yes.
The base station will restart to apply the changes. This change applies to all handsets registered to the base station.
Registering the Repeater
- Unplug the repeater from the power.
- Put the base station in registration mode. You can do this by holding down the button on the front of the base station until the first light starts flashing.
- Turn on the repeater by plugging in the power adapter.
The light on the repeater will start flashing. After a while, the light will stay on continuously. This means that registration was successful and the repeater is functioning properly.
If the first light on the base station keeps flashing, you can stop it by pressing the button on the front again.
If the registration of the repeater fails, the light on the repeater will remain on. Repeat the above steps again.
