Attention! Did you order a device from us since August 2022? Then the devices are encrypted by default. Do you have a device from before August 2022 and want to make encrypted calls? Follow this guide.
Encrypted calls
The calls between your device and the Voys telephony platform are transmitted over your network and the internet without encryption by default. By using encryption, your calls are sent in an encrypted format.
Both the SIP packets and the audio itself (RTP) can be encrypted. This ensures that no one can eavesdrop on your calls by intercepting the network packets. We use TLS to encrypt the SIP packets and the RTP audio is protected using SRTP.
