What is an ATA?
ATA stands for Analog Terminal Adapter and can be used to connect devices such as a fax machine to a VoIP network. It’s also possible to connect an analog telephone or alarm system to an ATA.
For sending and receiving faxes, however, it’s often easier to use the fax-to-email option we provide in Freedom.
Note: While analog devices like fax machines, alarm systems, or franking machines may work with VoIP, compatibility depends on your specific hardware and setup. Voys cannot provide full support for these devices, so use is at your own risk. We’re happy to share configuration tips to help you connect your ATA to our platform.
