Automatically get call transcriptions using N8N

Automatically get call transcriptions using N8N

Using the call transcription api with N8N

You can use N8N (or other automation tools) to automatically grab the call transcription, and write it to somewhere else. You can process it further by using an AI, or you can mail it, slack it, write it to your CRM. The possibilities are endless. In this guide we make an example basic workflow, that gets the call transcription, and uses the Slack API to write it to Slack. The Slack API part is not documented, since it’s not part of our own product.

Webhook: Listen to call notifications

If: status = ended && reason=completed, proceed.

‣

Set counter = 0

‣

Wait 1 min

‣

Extract call_id

‣

HTTP request: API call transcription

‣

On succes: Process the data / write the data to anywhere

Error handling: transcription is not ready after 1 min
